I did a lot of searching for a quality music stand, and I didn't mind paying more for it. The last stand I bought through Amazon (different brand) was poorly made and had to go. I am 6' 1" tall and the Commoner 2.0 is tall enough for me to see my music well. The finish seems to be durable. It folds up nicely and the bag it comes with is of good quality. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are some suggestions I have for improvement. When the stand is adjusted to its full height, meaning each joint is extended to its maximum allowance, there is some "play" in each joint. In other words, the stand has good stiffness and stability if each joint is adjusted to 80 or 90 percent of its max height, but as the tubes nest inside each other, if you max them out there is not as much stiffness/stability. The other little thing is that there is a thoughtfully made diagonal sleeve of cloth inside the bag that the vertical pole part of the stand goes into. I am assuming this is there to keep the base and the top separate and preventing them from scratching each other. This works well, but it isn't mentioned in the instructions, so when the Commoner 3.0 comes out please mention this feature in your documentation/instructions.
