Shipping & Returns
NOTE: At the moment, we only ship to the contiguous USA. If you’re in Alaska, Hawaii, or another part of the world, and you’d like to purchase items from us, drop us a line directly at orders@portastand.com.
SHIPPING:
At Portastand, we do our absolute best to get your products to you as quickly as possible. While we work fast, we don’t compromise on our attention to detail: Every order is hand-inspected before it goes out the door here in Minnesota. Larger items are sent via FedEx Ground, smaller items are sent via USPS Standard Post, and you can generally expect your order within a week or two of placing it. It’s worth noting that we’re a very, very small team. We don’t have an army of robots on call; we don’t deliver by quadcopter. We box everything by hand, and we work hard to keep you updated every step of the way. If you ever have questions or concerns about your order, send us a note at orders@portastand.com and we’ll be here to look into it.
RETURNS:
Most companies toss up lots of red tape when it comes to returns policies. At Portastand, we don’t, and that’s because returns are very, very rare. You’re not on a ticking timer to point out anything you’re unhappy with; we simply adopt a common-sense approach to returns and exchanges. If, for example, your Portastand arrives at your doorstep engulfed in flames, that’s worth returning. But if you’ve been using it as a twelfth drum over ten years of improvised drum solos, it’s probably going to have some dents in it—and that’s not returnable. Even solid steel breaks down over time. Of course, there’s no excuse for defects, so if you think you’ve received a product that’s inherently broken, send us some details and photos at orders@portastand.com and we’ll make it right.
GROUND RULES:
1. If you bought your Portastand equipment from an external retailer and not directly from us, you’ll have to get in touch with them, and you’ll be bound to their policies.
2. If you order a product and you deem it defective, and we agree, we’ll happily replace it and pay for shipping both ways.
3. If you order a product and you’d like to exchange it, you’re responsible for the shipping costs.
